Hello to all ~
My name is Fred Reed and I am excited about being able to share with
All of who are willing to listen, regarding the subject on marriage. I have been
Married for over 21 years to a very wonderful woman. In today’s time 21 years may be considered by most to be somewhat of a relic. I am not a professional by any means nor am I “Doctor Phil” but I do have a passion for marriage and have a great deal of respect for it. You may disagree with some things and agree with others and this is all fine. I am
Not a “know-it-all” and welcome any insight that some of you will have. Again, I look forward to sharing with you in the upcoming weeks.
Fred Reed

Fred, looking forward to your articles. I’m Sam, Steve’s dad. I like your comment about “21 yrs”. I agree, its great in today’s day and age. I’m a retired Construction Worker and I remember some years back sitting around at Coffee Break and the guys were bragging about how many times they were married. It came around to me and they said “Otto, how many years have you been married?” Proudfully, I replied, “I have been married (at that time) 35 years!” And their comment was, “To the same woman????” They tried to back up their misfortune by adding, “You haven’t lived until you have had a divource.” I couldn’t believe my ears. Today, My wife Nellie and I have been married for 41 wonderful years. I attribute it to a healthy religious life because that first day we agreed to our matrimonial agreement and said “I DO”!!!!!! Lot of it comes in respecting your partner, knowing when to agree and yet stand up for yourself. I guess it goes with that one cliche “You’ve got to know when to hold and when to fold.” I’ve always liked that one. And whatever decision you make, big or small, you should confide in your loved one so that you both are on the same street.
Sorry, I wrote so much, I’m hoping my comment will bring others out to share their viewpoints about this as Marriage is so important these days!!! Come on people, lets hear some of yours.
Sam OTTO
