Getting trash-talked by my 7 year old daughter

For some reason, our kids have been on this kick about gender differences lately. They think it’s fun to joke about being the opposite gender. Hannah will pretend to be Dad and talk in a really deep voice. Jacob will pretend to be Mom and run around dancing and talking in a high pitch.

The funniest moment was at the dinner table when Hannah started trash talking me. She unloaded on me, saying (and I quote) ‘Dad is really a girl because he likes to wear dresses, he cuddles with kittens, he believes in unicorns, and he drinks Chai Latte’s.

Well, when Hannah mentioned the part about drinking Chai Latte’s, my wife lost it. Amy could not stop laughing, because this one actually is true.

There’s nothing like getting trashed talked by a seven year old and not really being able to defend yourself.
