Turn off Ignition, Turn on Love

Today when you arrive home from work, shopping, dropping your kids off at practice, or picking up your prescription, take one minute after you turn off the engine and prepare. Prepare yourself for what you will say to your wife as you walk in the door. Think about your attitude and how you can show your love to your husband. Leave any baggage from work in the car. Think about how thankful you are for your family. Put a smile on before you walk in the door. Take notice of what cleaning your husband has done or what your wife is cooking. Let her know you noticed. If he just finished a project praise him for it. If the house is a wreck and he’s been sitting on the couch – keep your mouth shut and be a thermostat instead of a thermometer. Remind your wife how beautiful she is. Ask your husband if he’s been working out. Flirt. Do something different, but do something positive.
